If you want something to play instead of scrolling, choose an activity with a specific task and decide when to stop before opening it. A few calculations, a small quiz or one planned game session can give your break a purpose.
Choose the kind of break you actually want
If you want to think about numbers, try arithmetic. If you are curious about the world, try a few flag or general-knowledge questions. If you want to rest your eyes, put the phone away and take an off-screen break. You do not have to make every free minute productive.
A game is still screen time. Swapping a feed for a game does not automatically reduce how long you spend on your phone, and this page makes no claim that a game treats compulsive scrolling.
Set a small boundary before starting
- Name the opportunity. For example: a few minutes before a meeting, while you are seated and free to play.
- Pick a stopping point. Set your own phone timer, or decide to stop after a particular run. This timer is outside Brain Race.
- Pick one task. Practice addition or notice one fact you did not know.
- Close the app when you reach your boundary. You can return another time without turning this break into a challenge to keep playing.
What Brain Race adds to the break
Brain Race turns a question into a lane choice. Three answers approach, and you steer toward the correct one. The progression begins with arithmetic on roads and later moves to flags, dates, inventions and general knowledge in space.
Correct answers lead to boosts and combos. Mistakes slow the run and let you learn the answer; there is no stock of lives to wait for. New levels bring different vehicles and a short fact. These are game mechanics designed to make practice engaging, not evidence of a health benefit.
If you share one device, separate player profiles and a local ranking support friendly comparison in the full version. This is not a claim of live online multiplayer. The free starting level is Addition; the rest of the levels, profiles and statistics are behind a one-time unlock.
Give yourself a modest definition of success
Success could be stopping when you intended, working out one sum without a calculator, or noticing a question you want to revisit. You do not need a daily streak or a leaderboard position to make a short break worthwhile.
If a racing game encourages “one more run” beyond your intended break, choose a different activity. A paper puzzle, a page of a book or a walk may fit that moment better. Brain Race is an option for people who enjoy active questions and movement.
When can you try it?
Download Brain Race from the App Store on an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Start with free Addition, then unlock the remaining categories, profiles and statistics with a one-time purchase. Check the screenshots to see the gameplay before your first run.
